Healthy Tofu Recipe

Hi all,

Today i am going to teach you how to cook a healthy and simple to cook tofu recipe.

This recipe is so simple to cook even teenagers can cook it on their own.

Let's take a look on the ingredients needed:

1) 1 piece of tofu ( must buy the steaming type)
2) 1 stalk of spring onion
3) 1-2 Chili ( based on personal preference)
4) 1 century egg
5) 1/2 dessertspoon of light soya sauce
6) Few drops of sesame oil

How to cook

Step 1: Steam the tofu
Step 2: Pour away the water
Step 3: Pour the tofu onto a plate and smash it
Step 4: Cut chilli, spring onion , century egg.
Step 5: Put century egg and mix with tofu
Step 6: Pour in the light soya sauce , pepper ,chili and spring onion to mix well
Step 7: Pour a few drops of sesame oil
Step 8: Ready to serve

How to achieve healthy skin with good nutrition

What is the skin's elasticity and structure made of?

Basically, it is made of fibres such as collagen and elastin .

Why do we get wrinkles and pre mature aging?

It is due to the skin damage that comes from free radicals -harmful by products  of smoke, pollution and sunlight.

Vitamins and minerals that can help to achieve good skin 

Vitamin C

Found in citrus fruits , leafy green vegetables and peppers that are known to aid collagen production . Vitamin  C supplements are readily available in tablet or powder form.

Vitamin E

Found in vegetable oil, nuts , olives ,seeds and certain green vegetables such as spinach . Supplements can top up vitamin e needs for the skin .

Vitamin A 

Essential for skin repair and cell reproduction and is found in fruits and vegetables. Acne and psoriasis condition can also be improved by supplementing with Vitamin A.

Essential Fatty Acids

Helpful for skin that is prone to becoming dry, inflamed and has white or black heads. Omega 3 is found in oily fish such as sardines and Omega 6 comes from poultry , grains and coooking oils. Omega 3 should be eaten regularly or taken as supplements from fish oil soft gel capsules if lacking in your diet

Minerals and Antioxidants

Zinc

Acne  is sometimes due to a deficiency in zinc which can be improved  by eating food that contains zinc such as poultry and lean meat. Copper helps to develop the elastin fibres that support the skin's structure.

Antioxidants 

Catechins( from green tea leave extract) and Alpha lipoic Acid are more potent than vitamins C and E and protect the skin from free radicals. Other antioxidants  such as grape seed extract , citrus bioflavonoids, beta-carotene  & lyco pene are also proven to be beneficial.

So be more aware of what you eat  because it reflects on the skin's appearance. A combination of a good diet , plenty of water and dietary supplements can keep the skin healthy and looking years younger.

Constipation and how to treat constipation

Constipation, costiveness, or irregularity, is a condition of the digestive system in which a person (or animal) experiences hard feces that are difficult to expel. This usually happens because the colon absorbs too much water from the food. If the food moves through the gastro-intestinal tract too slowly, the colon may absorb too much water, resulting in feces that are dry and hard. Defecation may be extremely painful, and in severe cases (fecal impaction) lead to symptoms of bowel obstruction. The term obstipation is used for severe constipation that prevents passage of both stools and gas. Causes of constipation may be dietary, hormonal, anatomical, a side effect of medications (e.g. some opiates), or an illness or disorder. Treatments consist of changes in dietary and exercise habits, the use of laxatives, and other medical interventions depending on the underlying cause.

How to treat constipation:
1) Drink more water
2) Try drinking green tea, fruit juices.
3) Exercise more.
4) Eat more fibre like fruits and vegetables.

My Best Friend Cum God Bro Andy has colon cancer

Andy has been a very good friend to me yet at the age of 29 he has gotten colon cancer at early stage of stage 4. It came as a sudden news as we did not expect it to happen when he just underwent operation of colon recently due to an intake of the usual hot milo drink. Doctor just said that he has only 2 yrs of life span.

Guess it all started with the habit of not drinking a lot of water all throughout this life . Having the bad habit of not drinking water actually caused his colon could not actually move the bowels throughout the colon thus having the bowels stuck onto his colon. The operation was to remove the stucked bowels that were on his colon.

He is now currently going thru chemotherapy and the hefty medical bills and caring for his aged mother were his concerns. Fruit juice recipe to help to reduce acne

Chinese pear and bitter gourd juice

Ingredients : 1/2 bitter gourd, 1 big chinese pear , 2 ice cubes

Preparation: Just rinse and seed the bitter gourd into pieces and also rinse, peel and core the pear into small pieces. Put the bitter gourd and pear into juicer. Pour the juice into a serving glass. Add the ice cubes and serve.

Half a year has gone past for the year 2008 . Perhaps you guys should start re-evaluating your current skin condition and start to recall back what have you been eating the past half a year.

All About Open Pores , Clogged Pores.

The follicle leads from within the skin to the surface of the skin and may contain a hair within it.The “hole” on the surface of the skin through which the hair emerges is the “pore” and oil flows on to the skin surface through this pore. Pores do not have doors that “open” and “close”,but this is a descriptive way of describing how they work.The diameter of the tubule forms the pore and when the tubule dilates(widens) it gives the impression of being wide open.When the tubule contracts,it gives the impression of tightening and “closing”.The excessive production of oil and its flow causes the oil glands to enlarge and cause an enlargement of the tubule which in turn causes the pore to appear larger and crater like.This causes the skin to look and feel coarse and thick in texture.

Since the size of your pores is inherited,it cannot change.You can make them appear smaller by keeping them empty of plugs that are formed by the accumulation of sebum,dead skin cells and Bacteria, so that the oil can flow freely.Regular exfoliating can help keep the pores deep cleansed and empty.

Clogged pores,Blackheads and Pimples.How to keep pores unblocked

Under normal conditions,the sebum flows on to the surface of the skin freely and everything functions well.However,if for any reason the follicle or tubule through which the oil flows is blocked,this can lead to the pore getting clogged up,leading to a Blackhead and eventually spots and pimples.Accumulation of dead skin cells,oil and bacteria in the tubule leads to a sticky plug being formed and this causes accumulation of any further oil production which cannot flow on to the skin surface.This causes widening and enlargement of the tubule and so a large pore.The plug is black in colour due to the pigment Melanin found in the skin cells.It takes up to nine months before a blackhead appears on the surface of the skin.Blackheads are common on the face but can also be found on the back and chest.Excessive cleansing will not remove the blackhead once it has appeared.This is due to the fact that it is made of compacted dead skin cells,oil and Bacteria and deeply embedded in the follicle(tubule).

It is not possible to dissolve or melt the blackhead with any product.It has to be physically removed or “pulled”out of the tubule.Some dermatologists will perform this procedure using special instruments,but it is advisable not to try pressing them out as this causes the plugs to enter deeper layers of the skin leading to inflammation and infection and eventually to spots and pimples. The best approach is to prevent the formation of blackheads in the first place by eliminating the causes.Examples: removing of sebum,dead skin cells and bacteria by daily washing and regular exfoliating. This is best achieved by using an effective peel-off face and body mask regularly to exfoliate and remove the source of blackhead forming material.

What Is Acne ?

Acne is a skin condition where our skin's oil glands produce too much sebum (an oily substance) that leads to clogged pores and outbreaks of lesions commly known as pimples or zits .Besides that, the rapid production of bacteria can also create acne . 3 Stages Of The Acne
